Our group of approximately 25 is taken to a small private lounge set up with welcome drinks, appetizers and chilled wet towels. We are there for about an hour, away from the sun and heat while the luggage is taken off the plane and Crystal clears customs for us. From there it is a 15 minute shuttle ride to the Eden Marina (more champagne and chilled towels) and finally on to the Esprit.
It is so good to see our old friend Mark -the Entertainment Host on the Esprit- who gives us the tour of the ship. It doesn't take long; there is not much ship to see but what there is is really beautiful. The suites are spacious and pretty; lots of storage, a Nespresso machine a large bathroom with double vanities and a great big shower, even a tv built in the mirror!
With only 60 passengers there are plenty of outdoor hangouts, both in and out of the sun, and even a little pool. Sail away is at 5:45 pm and our destination is only 40 minutes away, but it sure is lovely to be back on the ocean. We will be back to Mahe for two days at the end of the cruise. The time change and all the air travel has finally caught up with us and after a lovely dinner we call it a night.
